In 2015, Strada, in partnership with a publicly-traded real estate investment trust, obtained an option to acquire 490 Brannan Street, a nearly one acre prime site in the Central SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco. The site is owned by a family trust and improved with a 6,000 square foot retail building that is currently occupied by a Wells Fargo branch and a Starbucks. The remainder of the site is operated as a surface parking lot.

The Central SOMA area is currently undergoing a comprehensive plan update by the City and County of San Francisco, which is likely to result in a rezoning of the allowable site use. Strada is evaluating multiple project programming scenarios for the redevelopment, including, office, residential and mixed-use options.
