Strada acquired the One Mission Bay site in 2012 in a joint venture with an affiiliate of Blackrock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK). Located at the corner of 3rd and Channel streets in San Francisco’s dynamic Mission Bay submarket, the site was originally entitled to build a 500-room hotel, plus ground-floor retail and a parking garage.

With a targeted re-entitlement strategy and observing a strict timeline, Strada successfully subdivided the site into three parcels and obtained approval for a smaller hotel plus two residential buildings, while retaining the retail and parking components as well.  The joint venture then sold the hotel parcel to a specialized lodging developer in 2013, and the two residential development sites to a global private equity real estate firm in 2014.

Today, Strada is partnered with the new owner to develop the two One Mission Bay residential buildings.  This exciting project is currently underway, with condominiums available for sale now.  Detailed information about the project can be found on the One Mission Bay website (link at left).
