Strada, in partnership with a family office, entered into a development agreement with the City of Oakland to redevelop a prime downtown parcel located in the Oakland City Center neighborhood.  The 1.25 acre site is one block from a BART station, directly above a parking garage with more than 1,000 stalls, and adjacent to the vibrant Old Oakland neighborhood.

Strada successfully obtained rights to redevelop the site as two projects to be built successively, the first a residential building, and the second as either residential, hotel, or office use.  Both will contain ground-floor retail, and an adjacent public plaza will also be redesigned to bring additional commercial activity to the area.

In 2017, Strada and its family office partner entered into a joint venture with a global private equity real estate firm to develop the first phase residential building.  More information will be forthcoming as the project prepares to break ground.
