In 2015, Strada entered into a development agreement with the Local 38 Plumbers and Pipefitters union and its pension trust fund to redevelop a prime San Francisco property located on Market Street in the burgeoning Hub district.  In 2018, Strada received entitlement approvals for a mixed-use development plan that includes 444 market-rate rental residential units, 96 supportive housing units for formerly homeless individuals, 60 historic rehab units, a new 30,000-square-foot union headquarters, ground-floor retail, an underground parking garage and 25,000-square-feet of publicly accessible open space.  The project is the first of its kind to combine market-rate and homeless supportive housing on a private development site and totals approximately $450 million in new construction.

Strada partnered with two large pension fund investors for development of the project.  Strada also partnered with HomeRise, a San Francisco-based non-profit, on the supportive housing component.

Construction commenced in June 2020 and has remained on time and on budget through the challenges of COVID-19. The first two residential buildings opened in August 2022 and are currently in lease-up.  For more information, please visit: www.thebradysf.com.
