Strada worked with Brookfield Properties (then Forest City) on Pier 70, a 3.4 million-square-foot mixed-use redevelopment project on 28 acres of Port-controlled land on San Francisco’s southeast waterfront. Strada led the entitlement strategy, the ground lease and development agreement negotiations with the Port, the infrastructure financing strategy for horizontal phases of the project and regulatory approvals with the myriad of local, state and federal agencies for this complex public-private partnership.
The Pier 70 Project envisions up to 2,150 residential units, 1 million sqft of rehabilitated historic buildings, light manufacturing/artist studios and 9 acres of waterfront parks. The design has been greatly community-driven and is geared toward creating a neighborhood-centric waterfront that will become an asset to the surrounding neighborhood.
