In 2016, Strada entered into an option to acquire a vacant Maple Street parcel in Redwood City in an off-market transaction.  

Strada successfully re-entitled the site for 131 for-sale townhomes which required a full re-zoning of the Property consistent with the City’s General Plan.  After ongoing community outreach and negotiation of a Development Agreement with City staff, the Project won unanimous approvals at both the Redwood City Planning Commission and City Council in 2018. 

The Project will deliver substantial public improvements including a bay front park and kayak launch, an extension of the San Francisco Bay Trail, as well as key infrastructure improvements along with much needed on-site affordable housing.
